Call 7/2007-2 - Research Enginneer – Networking Software Engineer (2 positions)

22 October 2007 - Expires: 15 March 2008

System-level development on GNU/Linux with in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, with emphasis in routing and signaling protocols. Programming experience in C or C++ (multi-threaded applications, inter-process communication, low level sockets) and familiarity with GNU/Linux development tools is required.

Call 6/2007-1 - Research Associate – Radio Communications (1 position)

13 September 2007 - Expires: 26 October 2007

PhD in signal processing for communications, preferably with experience in any of these fields: multi-carrier systems, cooperative communications and/or signal processing for satellite communications. Other fields of signal processing for communications are also welcome, but good publication record in IEEE journals and int’l conferences is a must.

Call 2/2007-2 - Research Engineer – Networking Software (2 positions)

17 July 2007 - Expires: 12 September 2007

with emphasis on Linux (or Unix-like) Networking Architecture (from the kernel network device drivers up to the TCP/IP socket): Unix-like open source operating system internals (networking protocol stack and device drivers) and network programming in C. Other valued merits are: Software Engineering and software Project management, UML, Linux development tools, C++, Java, Otcl, Modeling and simulation techniques, VoIP (mainly SIP) and/or Basic knowledge of system administration.

Call 1/2007-3 - Research Associate – Communications Subsystems (1 position)

16 July 2007 - Expires: 30 June 2007

Experience in the design and implementation of radiofrequency circuits and systems. This includes (but is not limited to) knowledge in one or more topics out of the following list: microwave passive and active devices; antennas; device modelling and design, analysis and implementation of transceivers. Experience in MMIC and/or RF MEMS circuit design, implementation, test and measurement is highly appreciated.

Call 1/2007-2 - Research Associate – Optical Networking (1 position)

16 July 2007 - Expires: 31 May 2007

GMPLS-based routing and signalling protocols for multi-layer (lambda, TDM, packets) and multi-domain networks, Traffic Engineering algorithms for provisioning, Protection/Restoration algorithms, ASON network architecture, ASON/GMPLS interworking, etc. Knowledge both in theoretical and experimental R&D is highly appreciated, in particular in ASON/GMPLS testbeds.

Call 1/2007-1 - Research Associate – Radio Communications (1 position)

16 July 2007 - Expires: 25 July 2007

PhD in signal processing for communications, preferably with experience in any of these fields: multi-carrier systems, cooperative communications and/or signal processing for satellite communications. Other fields of signal processing for communications are also welcome, but good publication record in IEEE journals and int’l conferences is a must.
