We offer a position in a research-oriented team, exploring new technologies in the field of navigation systems and their applicability. The researcher will contribute to the development of both private and public-funded projects, as well as to the dissemination of scientific outcomes. Interaction with researchers as well as technology transfer staff is expected. The work will encompass both theoretical and experimental activities to advance in software-defined GNSS receivers and related technologies.

The candidate must have in-depth knowledge and experience in signal processing and C++ programming, and be comfortable both in GNU/Linux environments and hardware-related projects.


  • Good knowledge of C++ and or Python, with experience in small and medium-sized projects.
  • Knowledge on signal processing concepts and related (low-level) technologies.
  • Strong motivation and desire to learn and explore new technologies.
  • Good analysis, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • High level of English.


Applicants must hold an B.Sc/M.Sc. Engineering degree in telecommunications, aeronautics, computer science, or related fields. Experience in R&D or industrial projects carried out in the context of research institutions or industry is appreciated. Knowledge of key technologies (GNSS, hardware drivers, VHDL, digital signal processors, array signal processing, embedded systems, software-defined radio, Matlab/Python/C++) and relevant Open Source projects (e.g. GNU Radio) is also a plus.


A full-time fixed term contract is offered. The salary will be determined according to qualifications and work experience.
