CTTC invites applications for a post-doctoral position in the Communication Systems Division

Full-time post-doctoral position where the candidate must have research experience in signal processing for communications and positioning systems, with special emphasis in nonlinear filtering techniques.

More specifically:

Full-time post-doctoral position where the candidate must have a solid background in statistics and signal processing, as well as strong interest in becoming active part of an emerging research group. Due to the current research lines in the Statistical Inference (SI) Department, applicants with strong knowledge on, at least one of, the following topics will be valued: Positioning Systems, Communication Systems, Statistical Analysis, or Mathematical Biology. The applicant will be in charge of carrying out fundamental research in statistical inference and identifying non-standard applications where the knowledge gathered in the SI Department can be applied. Strong mathematical skills, along with Bayesian inference experience, are highly desirable. Fluency in English is required. Applicants must be strongly motivated, hold a Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or related fields, have the capacity of carrying out innovative research independently, as well as a good publication record and social skills. Work experience in international and national R&D projects carried out in the context of R&D institutions is highly appreciated, including past experience in projects funded by the EU and the European Space Agency. Experience in other funding mechanisms is also desirable.


The position will be located at CTTC premises in Castelldefels (Barcelona), Spain. The initial duration is 1 year, renewable in terms of 1 year up to 5 years maximum. The initial salary will range from 28,000 to 32,000 €/year (gross). CTTC is particularly interested in candidates with a good balance of academic qualifications and know-how in their field of knowledge.
