CTTC, as collaborator of the European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC), is pleased in announce the presentation and launching of the European Satellite Navigation Competition 2016 that is going to be held next May 9th, 09:30h at Barcelona Mobile World Centre.
The event also will release the details of the Catalan chapter “ESNC Catalonia Challenge 2016″ that will allow its winner to participate in the European final.
The ESNC is the main international competition of satellite navigation applications which generally offers award prizes worth around EUR 1 million – including cash, business incubation, coaching, patent consulting, prototyping and marketing support, access to customers and user communities, and publicity in the world’s leading satellite navigation network. Each year the competition brings together more than 500 business ideas and new trends. Since 2004, more than 270 projects have been awarded and more than 10,000 people have been involved. A competition in which everyone can participate with their idea.
Drones market is expanding and is one of the most is going to use global satellite navigation systems because it requires high accuracy in positioning and orientation. That is why in ESNC 2016 is expected a large participation of applications related to drones.
