Arturo Mayoral (Madrid, 1987) graduated in Telecommunications Engineering by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2013, now is a Ph.D. student within the department of Theory of Signals and Communications (TSC) of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
He started his professional career in 2012, as an undergraduate researcher in Telefonica I+D (R&D) where developed his Final Career’s Project (PFC), and he was awarded with the Best Final Project on Networks and Telecommunications Services Prize by the COIT and FUNDACIÓN TELEFÓNICA.
In September 2013, he joined the Centre Tecnologic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) as SW engineer and Research Assistant in the Communications Network Division (CND) within the ICT-STRAUSS European Project. His research areas include Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Cloud computing. He has more than three years of experience as a SW developer, and possesses an extensive knowledge on Java, Python and Matlab programing languages. He is also author or co-author on over 10 journals and conference papers.
