David Gregoratti received his M.Sc. degree in telecommunications engineering from “Politecnico di Torino,” Italy, in 2005, and his Ph.D. degree in signal theory and communications from “Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya” (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2010. Since 2006 he is with the “Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya” (CTTC), Barcelona, Spain, first as a Ph.D. Candidate and now as a Research Associate in the Advanced Signal and Information Processing Department. During his academic career, he also visited “Institut Eurecom” (Sophia Antipolis, France, in 2003–2004), “Qualcomm Inc.” (San Diego, CA, USA, in 2004), “Telecom Italia LAB” (Torino, Italy, in 2005) and “Télécom ParisTech” (Paris, France, in 2009).

Dr. Gregoratti has been actively participating in diverse research projects (with both public and private funding) as well as in the organization of IEEE-sponsored events.

His current research interests cover wireless communications, multicarrier modulations and sparsity-aware optimization.
