David López Bueno received his MSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2005.
From 2003 to end of 2006 he worked as RF design engineer at Mier Comunicaciones and Alcatel Alenia Space España participating in the design, implementation and validation of RF/uW modules and MMIC devices for satellite payloads (AMHERIS, TRMO, GALILEO ISBT and ICO-G1 space programmes).
In the years following he joined the CTTC as Research Engineer where he contributed to several national and European public funded projects (MIMOWA, BuNGEE, BeFEMTO and GEDOMIS-ADCOMM, GRE3N, EMPhAtiC, 2007-2013) by building multi-band RF Transceivers and lab demonstrators devoted to validating MIMO OFDM/FBMC-based transmitter and receiver schemes for 4G/5G communications and the coexistence of heterogeneous systems in spectrum shared scenarios, and by conceiving wideband high-end modular radios for multiple target applications.
At CTTC, he has also been involved in industrial projects assessing the risk of interference between FS and FSS systems in European rural areas (ROSE-ERO project, 2010-2011) and in the last years, aiming at experimental benchmarking of wideband PA linearization techniques for wireless backhaul microwave wideband radios (DI-PRE-DATORS project – Energy efficient solutions for microwave wideband power amplifiers, 2012-2013) through building DPD and CFR HW demonstrators for RF/uW/mmW applications.
Since 2009, David is in charge of the Radio Technologies Lab activities at CTTC.
