Michail Dalgitsis (Serres, 1988) received his BSc degree in Informatics Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Western Macedonia, Kozani, Greece on 2012 and his MSc degree in Telecommunications from Technological Educational Institute of Central Macedonia, Serres, Greece on 2018. His MSc thesis focused on lab signal measuremens of WCDMA/HSPA+ Downlink. He worked for a short period at Artemis ITS as an optical field engineer in a project in Germany. Now he joined the Marie-Curie ITN 5G STEP-FWD program at CTTC and purshuing his Ph.D. in mobile communications in Universitat Politetècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain. His research interest areas include dynamic provisioning and resource allocation to improve network performance over a cloud RAN arcitecture by leveraging SDN and NFV technologies. He is currently studying problems of flexible functional split in PON architectures.
