Pilar Soriano studied different subjects at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and UPC, obtaining her BA degree at the Universitat de Barcelona in 1995. In 2010 she obtained the MSc degree from the Universidad de Alcalá. In 2014 she attended meetings of the GREC group at the UPC and ESADE (engineering knowledge research group) interested in Artificial Intelligence. In 2014 she took an electronics course at the UPC and in October 2016 she joined the CTTC to work on her doctoral thesis, as a PhD student in signal theory and communications at the UPC.
From 2002 to 2010 she developed and administrated the intranet of the Instituto Nacional de la Seguridad Social of Barcelona. In 2010 she founded her own online business, specializing in SEO techniques.
Her areas of interest include research in electromagnetic signals and microwave circuit design, with special interest in the development of sensors to detect unknown signals using unmanned aerial vehicles.
