Vrinda Krishnakumar holds a Master´s degree in Remote sensing from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), India (2015) and a Bachelor´s degree in Civil Engineering from Amrita University, India (2012). Since August 2017 she is a PhD scholar under the FI grant by Generalitat de Catalunya in the Remote Sensing Department of the Division of Geomatics at the Technological Centre of Telecommunications of Catalunya (CTTC-www.cttc.es).

Her doctoral research activity is mainly on atmospheric water vapour monitoring using interferometry and also atmospheric phase correction in interferograms to improve deformation mapping.

Some of the relevant projects in her research career include ´Structural deformation monitoring using Ground based radar´ under the DAAD scholarship under the German Government, in TU Braunschweig, Germany, as a part her master´s thesis and ´Development of quantile based probabilistic flood forecast model for urban regions´, funded by Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India.
