SOSRAD aims at introducing substrate integrated waveguide technology (SIW) as a leading system-on-substrate (SoS) technology for the implementation of cost-effective, high performance millimeter wave circuits and systems.

It is the aim of the project to establish SIW technology as the leading high performance platform to encompass all available technologies within a common substrate at mm-wave frequencies, much as its predecessor, microstrip technology, has achieved in the microwave frequency range. The project objective will be demonstrated by the implementation of a SIW SoS 77 GHz front-end suitable for automotive radar applications.
