The project deals with conducting research of digital predistortion (DPD) and crest factor reduction techniques (CFR) to boost the low power efficiency featured by Cable TV power amplifier (PA) systems when operating under GHz-range bandwidth OFDM-like signals with high peak-to-average power ratios (PAPR), while guaranteeing the linearity levels required by this application. These techniques will be applied to both multi-octave bandwidth PAs and other further efficient novel PA architectures.
