RAION3 (Inter-domain all-optical transport networks, phase 3) is a project funded by an Industrial Research Grant of KDDI R&D Labs (Japan). The project focuses on extending the results obtained in RAION Phase 1 and 2, covering two main topics: interoperability studies of multi-domain translucent transport networks using the Path Computation Element (PCE) architecture, and the performance evaluation of the OSNR-aware path computation algorithm, conceived during phased 1, when deployed in PCEs.
