[edit] ICARUS
A European (Eureka) project developing a distributed experimental infrastructure for optimization and convergence of wireless networks
Contact Person: Christos Verikoukis
[edit] MVIA
A national project developing and testing a communications platform for Vehicular networks. We also take a look at novel communication schemes based on cooperative communications.
Contact person: Christian Ibars
[edit] LOOP
Interoperability/coexistence solutions, specifically between 3GPP LTE RAN and WAN (WiMAX and WLAN).
Contact Person: Christos Verikoukis
[edit] Newcom++
(ICT, 2008-2010) A Network of Excellence on communications. We particpate in the activities related to dynamic spectrum management, cooperative communications and relaying, and joint channel-network coding.
Contact persons:
- Lorenza Giupponi (Dynamic spectrum management)
- Christian Ibars, Christos Verikoukis (Cooperative communications and relaying)
- Christian Ibars (Joint channel-network coding)
[edit] Perseo
Cooperative and cross layer techniques for wireless sensor networks
Contact Person: Christos Verikoukis
[edit] Ultrared
A National Project on the development of Ultra-wideband technology and Sensor Network technology for combined data transmission, location and tracking. The technology is designed for medical applications (remote patient monitoring).
Contact person: Christian Ibars
[edit] WIP
A project on designing a Wireless Internet based on Communities. Our contribution is the design of cooperative transmission schemes and their integration in a community-based network architecture. We are also experimenting with multiple-antenna transmission in wireless mesh network environment, which is recreated with our Propsim C8 channel emulator.

[edit] Dynamo (Cost Action 295)
A project on dynamic network optimization
Contact person: Christian Ibars
[edit] The European School of Antennas
The European School of Antennas (ESoA) is a Ph. D. school on antenna-related topics. The school is supported by a Marie Curie Action and courses are taught in over 20 European institutions. The CTTC will organize the second edition of a course in Cooperative Communications and Distributed Antenna Arrays in October 2009.
